About Us:

For over 58 years, Meals on Wheels Wichita County has been dedicated to feeding seniors, disabled individuals, and children in need across Wichita County. Each day, we serve approximately 650 meals on 51 routes in our community. Last year alone, we prepared a remarkable 305,048 meals for our four programs, with 225,135 of those meals specifically for home-bound seniors.

Our Mission:

Your donation will directly benefit our Weekend Meal Program, ensuring that no senior goes hungry over the weekend. This vital program has grown significantly and now costs about $200,000 annually. Your support during Texoma Gives is crucial for its success and for the well-being of many.

Impact of Your Donation:

According to our 2023 surveys:

- 41% of our clients would go hungry over the weekend without our meals.

- 45% of our clients live in total isolation, seeing only our volunteers.

- 32% are retired veterans or spouses of deceased veterans.

- 60% live below the poverty level.

- 72% are frail or disabled, with some unable to perform even basic tasks.

- 90% rely on our meals and daily wellness checks to live independently.
