Camp Fire North Texas has been a cornerstone of the Wichita Falls community for over a century. Founded in 1915, our organization began as a sanctuary where girls could connect with nature, build lifelong friendships, and discover their strengths. In 1975, Camp Fire Girls opened our doors to all children and youth, creating a diverse, inclusive environment that has nurtured generations.

At Camp Fire North Texas, we are committed to the holistic development of every child. Our programs are designed to meet children where they are, providing them with the tools, resources, and support they need to thrive. We create inclusive spaces where every child feels seen, heard, and valued, surrounded by caring adults dedicated to their success. Our programs not only teach skills but also instill values—responsibility, respect, and a commitment to the community—that will guide them throughout their lives. 

Our Mission is simple yet profound: “Camp Fire builds caring, confident youth and future leaders.” This mission isn’t just words—it’s the heartbeat of everything we do. We believe in every child's potential, and we are dedicated to helping them find their spark, lift their voice, and discover who they are meant to be.

At Camp Fire, we create opportunities for young people to explore, learn, and grow in a safe, supportive setting. Our programs, which include STEM, After School Programs, and Day Camps, are designed to foster curiosity, creativity, and resilience. Whether it’s through hands-on STEM activities, the structured support of our After School Program, or the leadership-building experiences at our Day Camps, we are committed to developing the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally.

But Camp Fire is more than just programs—it’s a promise. A promise crafted by the youth themselves: “Young people want to shape the world. Camp Fire of North Texas is entirely community-funded. We receive no financial assistance from our National affiliate or federal or State funding. Our work is sustained solely by the generosity of our community—through donations, grants, and local fundraisers like our annual Tom Foley Golf Tournament, which honors a man who passionately supported our mission.
