The mission of the Wichita Adult Literacy Council, a non-profit organization, is to empower people to improve their individual literacy skills and to promote community awareness of literacy issues.  WALC teaches people to change their lives for the better and we charge NOTHING for our services!  The funds raised through Texoma Gives will provide opportunities for our students to obtain a job or advance in their job, to achieve financial independence, to lead healthier lives and raise healthier families.  You will help our students ensure that their children succeed because they have been successful themselves.  Your involvement and participation will open new horizons for many.
