Miss Fannie's Friends

Miss Fannie's Friends is a cat rescue, foster-adoption service, and sanctuary, with a TNR program serving Wichita Falls, Texas, and the surrounding area since 2016.  We are a volunteer ran, 501(c)(3) non profit organization. 

Our adoption program is foster based.  Our amazing fosters provide a loving home, and care for the cats and kittens.  They take them to weekly adoption events until they find their furever home. 

We are privileged to house up to 6 adult cats or 12 kittens at the Petsmart cattery, there they can be seen and are available for adoption through our organization.  

In addition, Miss Fannie's has over eighty cats in our off-site sanctuary.  This is home to many of our older, special needs and unadopted cats. 

Most cats and kittens that come to Miss Fannie's are rescued from the streets of Texoma.  Often, they have been abandoned, discarded, or injured. 

A big part of our mission is to stop the reproduction of homeless and feral cats.  We support a TNR (Trap/Neuter/Return) program for our local cat colonies.  TNR and spaying/neutering of cats is an effective and humane way to help reduce the homeless cat population.  We encourage the community to practice this in their areas to reduce the number of homeless and feral cats and kittens.

Every cat that comes into our foster program is spayed and neutered, tested, microchipped, and vaccinated in preparation for adoption.  Our TNR cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and treated for ectoparasites.  The veterinary and medical treatment for cats in our care was over $25,000.00 in 2023. 

All our work would simply not be possible if it were not for the support of our community.  We are extremely grateful for every donation, volunteer, foster and prayer. 

We are thankful for the opportunity provided to us by Texoma Gives.  They have graciously given us a way to make much needed donations stretch even further.  This will be Miss Fannie's Friends 8th year participating, and we are excited!
