House Of Mercy Enterprises

$1,334 raised by 8 donors

For seven years the House Of Mercy Enterprises has served the community by helping individuals and families transition from life-related struggles such as addiction, homelessness, and incarceration to fulfilling and prosperous lives rooted in Christ. H.O.M.E. offers a year long bible-based program that teaches residents how to overcome adversity using biblical principles. With an emphasis on Paul’s Epistles, the residents learn the value in community and giving cheerfully of oneself. Many lives have been touched and transformed and families reunified through these invaluable lessons.

Odds are you are affected by addiction in some form, be it yourself, a loved one or a friend who is struggling. According to the National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 19.7 million adults battled a substance use disorder in 2017.

That is one in six people in the US. Our program is proven with a 90% success rate among graduates (more than triple compared to drug and alcohol treatment success rates among program graduates). The difference is Christ! We are not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes!

Please join in our mission of helping addicts (through teaching the gospel of Christ) by participating in one of our many fundraisers this Texoma Gives Year on 9/5/24!

Who We Are

Over the last seven years the House Of Mercy Enterprises has served the community by helping individuals and families transition from life-related struggles such as addiction, homelessness, and incarceration to fulfilling and prosperous lives rooted in Christ. H.O.M.E. offers a year long bible-based program that teaches residents how to overcome adversity through biblical principles. With an emphasis on Paul’s Epistles, the residents learn the value in community and giving cheerfully of oneself. Many lives have been touched and transformed and families reunified through these invaluable lessons. The program involves daily devotion and study in the Word, daily work therapy and training, obedience, and giving back to the community. As well residents are given an opportunity in learning or refining practical life-skills such as in budgeting and financial planning, culinary arts, horticulture and greenhouse management, and house management.

The Hands Of Mercy Employment (the second phase of the Christian human development program) provides a means of work therapy for upper-level residents and graduates. The participants are equipped with the foundations of faith and the tools to maintain a new way of life while outside the House Of Mercy walls. Reaching a necessary level of integrity and ethical work practices, these program participants complete jobs within the community. They are required to set and complete realistic goals in the workplace each week and given direction when needed. Their work provides them with a-once-lacking sense of purpose and belonging and the community is serviced with a warm and professional attitude.
