We empower young people to set and meet goals, provide parent engagement and support, and help every child realize their full potential.
OUR UNIQUE MODEL
Communities In Schools of Greater Wichita Falls Area works in collaboration with school personnel to develop and provide a comprehensive Integrated Student Support (ISS) program uniquely tailored to address unmet academic and non‐academic barriers to student success.
In partnership with community providers, professional CIS staff provide and coordinate a range of intentionally targeted services that are provided to all students on campus and to a smaller cohort of “case‐managed” students to ensure all students consistently come to school ready to learn and remain on the path to graduation.

SUCCESS STORIES
Janiyah Coleman - “Mrs. Catano has really pushed me this year to become the best version of myself.
She has always been there for me, especially when I needed help with things I had going on in my life
outside of school. Being a part of CIS has made me feel a part of something good. Mrs. Catano has
always made me feel comfortable and important, like I matter. My junior year was rough for me.
I was missing a lot of school and failing my classes. My counselor told me I would have to attend
summer school to receive my credits. I was devastated and ready to give up. Mrs. Catano encouraged
and pushed me to do better, she told me I was very smart and could easily bring my grades up, I just
needed to get focused. I did just that and did not have to attend summer school. I started off my senior
year missing school and failing classes, I was falling into the same pattern again. Mrs. Catano reeled me
in quick and let me know she was here to help me; she was not going to let me fail. Mrs. Catano is an
amazing person, her energy, compassion and genuine love for her students shines through every day.
Thank you, Mrs. Catano, for always putting up with me even when I was not at my best. You have made
a difference in my life and my senior year has been amazing because of you!
