The Bluegrove Volunteer Fire Department is a non‐profit, tax exempt, section 501(c)(3) charitable organization that was established June 26, 1997. The Bluegrove VFD responds to all fires, medical responses and car accidents in the 107 square mile district. We provide mutual-aid to the surrounding volunteer departments and surrounding counties when requested. Bluegrove VFD is 100% funded through donations and fundraising efforts by its members.
Recently, the fire department merged with the Bluegrove Community Center located next door. The Community Center is an older building with major structural damage. It is the desire of the people of this community along with the members of the Bluegrove VFD to provide a new and desirable venue to support local events, weddings, family reunions and training. Our desire is that this new facility will help unite and build a bond for the Bluegrove community for many years to come. We would appreciate any and all donations that you would be able to make towards our lofty goals and we hope that you will come out and enjoy our new facilities once completed.
If you have any questions about the department or future plans for the Bluegrove Community Center, feel free to call Jeff Forester at 214-674-0221.
